It's Global Stupidty, Stupid.
Ok, We have global warming, it's a problem, we need to act now. There is however, a bigger and more threatening problem than the global warming, it's the bludgening problem of global stupidity.
It all mushroomed with the invention of "The Yuppie", yep, them again. Early in the Yuppie movement they discovered that they weren't growing at their projected rates. They formed a study group and after several years of fact finding they determined that many potential candidates for Yuppiedom were dying from accidental deaths. Further study determined that action was needed to stop these vitally important candidates from killing themselves by taking the radio into the bath, having a hairdryer in the shower, drying their hair in the oven, not using seatbelts and doing other stupid death causing things.
The Yuppies quickly formed an Action Committee to solve the assumed problem. Said committee after much deliberation decided that anything that could possible cause even the slightest harm had to have Warning Lables.
After several years of warning lables the Yuppie population started to grow and they were happy.
Now for the real story. The real reason that there wasn't enough candidates origanally is that 96.785% of Yuppies have the Stupid Gene. The reason they were dying off before they could acheve Yuppie status is a process call Natural Selection. Natural Selection is the process that Mother Nature uses to ensure only the fit and able survive, breed and carry on a strong gene pool for further spiecies development.
When the Yuppies interviened by creating warning labels, they enabled these gene deficient individuals (or most of them) to cheat the natural selection process and attain the ability to reach the age where they could breed and thereby spread this tainted gene pool. This has caused massive world wide problems of over population, mass stupidity, inept leaders and a massive increase in mouth breathers.
Conclusion. This tainted gene pool is producing the very people that are being put into postions that the world will expect to solve global issues.

When did the Media stop reporting the News and started Making the News?\
IT'S BIG BUSINESS
Big Business wants to make money at any cost, to do that they need things to go their way.
They need favorable laws and regulations, the best way to do this is to have people in position to look out for their interests. There is a simple formula to explain this BxLxP=W (Where B= Business, L= Lobbiests, P= Politicians and W=Win.)
They need to Crow as needed and to hide when necessary.
This is easlly done, They buy up the Media outright (Note: This is much easier the purchasing Politicians due to the Laws that the Politicians have enacted to hide behind.).
When needed they push the appropriate button and the media spews forth the appropriate verbage.
